The Ravine Project traces the relationship between Toronto's human inhabitants and its extensive system of natural ravines. A selection of fictional and non-fictional excerpts, images, films and multimedia projects are included as reflections on the human geography of our city. Our natural environment continues to exert its force on our lived urban landscape.
The Ravine Project was initiated in Spring 2008 by Karen Harnisch and Andrew Lounsbury, who are currently pursuing undergraduate degrees at Ryerson University's School of Image Arts. The project will serve as the basis for their thesis narrative film, Ravine, slated to be completed in May 2009.
